On 2 December in Kalisz at the corner of Serbinowska and Młynarska Streets, the celebratory laying of the cornerstone for the construction of the Kalinka Retail Park took place.
The event was attended by representatives of the city, the local community, the investor and partner companies as well as potential and future Tenants who chose to open their stores in this location.
The laying of the cornerstone commences the stage of constructing the foundations for the new retail park. In addition to the laying of the foundation, copies of Kalisz newspapers and current notes and coins were put in a commemorative tube. The new retail park is to serve local residents while complementing the retail offer of Kalisz.
The opening is planned for June 2017 and the tenants of Kalinka include among others Piotr i Paweł, Brico Marche and Rossmann, a local pharmacy and confectionery. Talks are underway with other tenants who are interested in the offer due to the very good location of the retail park.
As stressed by the contractors and designers of "Kalinka", it is a friendly place designed for family needs and frequent shopping.
I am very pleased that after eight years of preparations it was possible to start the construction of the building whose concept during this time was modified twice. We hope that the Kalinka Retail Park will be a place that will be appreciated not only by the Tenants but above all by the residents of Kalisz. I also wish to thank all persons - designers and builders - for the efficient and quick work - Robert Faktor - Owner and Chief Executive of ANTAN Group.
The project is being carried out by Zakład Budowlano Remontowy BUDREM from Ostrów Wielkopolski. In his short statement – the President of Budrem, Mr Robert Wilczewski expressed the hope that the Kalinka Retail Park will meet not only the expectations of the customers but also the Investor who expects that the constructed building will be made in accordance with the highest standards.
Currently, we are conducting the project in line with the plan. Already in the second quarter of 2017, we will be able to invite all to a grand official opening – says Edyta Bystra, responsible for the commercialisation of the building on behalf of ANTAN Development.
The Kalinka Retail Park
The building is being constructed in Kalisz at the corner of Młynarska Street, Serbinowska Street and Wojska Polskiego Avenue. The investor is a company from Wrocław - Antan Development Poland.
On the plot of approximately 22 thousand square meters fours buildings of an area of approximately 7,900 square meters have been planned. Additional 915 square meters will be intended for outdoor sales of the "house and garden" type. It is known that one of the tenants will be Piotr i Paweł, which will occupy over 1,300 square meters, and Bricomarché building supplies store which will take nearly 2,700 square meters. The centre’s premises will also include offices that will be assigned to the users of the building. An underground car park for approximately 50 cars is to be constructed under one of the buildings. 147 parking places around the centre were also included in the design. The building will be ready in the first half of 2017.

Antan Development Poland belongs to the ANTAN international group of companies, which has existed since 1950. It operates in the United States, Germany, Israel and Poland. Currently, in Poland, it manages in Bolesławiec City Centre Shopping Mall, opened in November 2012, and carries out the construction of the Kalinka Retail Park and plans further projects located in Lower Silesia.
